Where are you located?
We have 2 locations.
On Lake Murray, we are located at Jakes Landing in Lexington. Jakes is about 15 minutes from Downtown Columbia just moments from the Lexington side of the Dam. Jake's on the Lexington side of the dam, near Wings and Ale, (Formerly the Dam Bar & Grill). When you turn down Jake's Landing Road, you will pass the boat ramp, and see yellow flags that say "Paddle Rentals."
On Lake Greenwood, you can find on located at Skippers on Lake Greenwood.
At both locations, we offer paddleboard (SUP) and kayak rentals, lessons, tours, and more.
Is there parking?
Yes. There is plenty of parking at Jake's, however, there is a $3.00 charge to park, that you pay in the bait shop right near the boat launch. Parking at Lake Greenwood is free.
Are you near the water, or do I have bring the board somewhere else?
Yes, we are located right on the water in both locations.
That is, if you consider 10 feet from the edge close enough!
When you arrive, park, and complete your booking, we will put your SUP or kayak in the water, so that you can literally walk on water simply by stepping - or sitting - off the shore.
Do you provide life jackets (PFDs)?
Yes. Your rental includes a paddle, life jacket, and whistle, which meets South Carolina Department of Natural Resources requirements.
How old do I have to be to rent a SUP or kayak?
You must be 18 to sign the waiver forms, and be a parent or guardian to sign the waiver for anyone under 18, however, someone under 18 may take their own board out with someone over 18.
Where can I paddle from if I am at Jake's Landing?
There are a ton of cool places that you can paddle to, once you leave the marina area of Jake's. As you come out of the 'no wake zone', if you head to the left, there is a quiet cove, where you can paddle, catch some rays, take a swim, or just practice.
If you head out of the Jake's Landing area, to the right, you will see the Saluda Shoals Dam, built in the 1920's that makes Lake Murray a lake.
I have never been on a paddle board or kayak. Can you help?
We have a certified SUP instructor and kayak instructor, you are covered, for sure...PLUS Our crew all have a ton of time on the water, and will help you get out and walking on water with some great tips and tricks to make sure that you have an awesome time out on the water.

That having been said, if there is thunder or lightening within 10 miles of our location, we do not operate, and will offer a full refund or reschedule at no additional charge.
